Barbara Jean (Killingsworth) Leach

Barbara Jean Leach, 65, passed on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Augusta University Medical Center, Augusta, GA. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Barbara was born on December 4, 1958 to the late Willie Deveaux, Jr. and Cora Mae Killingsworth.

Barbara attended Abbeville High School and Job Corp. She worked at Electrolux for 13 years, and retired January 4, 2021.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Moses Tate, Jr.; grandmother, Hannah Taggart; two grandfathers, Ernest Taggart, Willie Deveaux, Sr.; and one grandson, Malik Leach.

Barbara will be dearly missed by her daughter, Alicia (Willie) Reed of Anderson, SC; two sons, Timothy (Angela) Leach of North Augusta, GA, Marcus Leach of Abbeville, SC; one sister, Betty Jean Tate of Donalds. SC; a special friend, Janie Creswell; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 2 nephews; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many great friends that mourns her passing. Those who knew her knew she loved to laugh , dance, and have fun.
