Bertha L. Turman

Bertha L. Turman, 70, departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 22, 2025. She was born on August 19, 1954 in Abbeville, SC to the late Charlie Calhoun and Gertrude Postell. Bertha resided in Calhoun Falls, SC for all of her life.

Bertha received her education and graduated from Calhoun Falls High School in 1974. She was a faithful member of Glovers AME Church. Bertha worked at West Point Pepperil for over 25 years, Mohawk Carpet for over 6 years, and furthered her career to ProTowel, where she retired. Bertha loved to go fishing, being an active person, and maintaining upkeep of her yard. One of her prized memories was being a coach to her sons, and spending quality time outdoors. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her outpour of love will continue to live in our hearts.

Bertha leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Shawn (Brandi Mobley) Turman of Calhoun Falls, SC, Corey (Christina) Turman of' Lilburn, GA; one brother, Alphonso (Victoria) Postell of Abbeville, SC; one sister, Brenda Postell of Calhoun Falls, SC; six grandchildren; one grandchild who was reared in the home, Ja'Marcus Turman; one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Wallace Turman; one daughter, Shavon Turman; and one brother, Roy Postell.
