Calvin Andrea Gray, affectionately known as Meatman, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, SC. He was born in Abbeville, SC on July 5, 1958 to the parentage of the late Butler and Doris Marie Belcher Gray, Jr.
Calvin attended the public schools in Abbeville, SC. He was employed at the Department of Highways & Public Transportation Maintenance Shop. Calvin later worked in manufacturing at Burnstein Vonseelen and Grede Foundry for many years. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing. Calvin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who he will forever be cherished by.
Calvin leaves to cherish his precious memories and to celebrate his life his loving daughter, TeQuila (Donnie) J. Baxter of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Gerrick (Loretta) Gray, Keith (Clara) Gray both of Abbeville, SC, Ricky (Annie) Starks of Hartwell, GA; four sisters, Doris (Terry) Johnson of Columbia, SC, Barbara (Dane) Sanders, Tangee (James) Miller, Belinda Starks Crawford all of Abbeville, SC; two grandchildren, Eliana Baxter, Mateo Baxter both of Greenville, SC; one aunt, Lois Gray Brown of Abbeville, SC; one uncle, Eugene (Minnie Lee) Gray of Abbeville, SC; a good life long friend, Mary L. Haskell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Last, but not least, a beloved fur-baby, Suga.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Floyd Starks; and one sister, Vanessa O. Gray.
