He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. God heals our broken hearts, even when we lose someone we love. Unfortunately, there is no timetable for grief but you can cling to the promise that God heals broken hearts.
Psalm 147:3
In the same quiet and unassuming way she lived, our beloved mother on Saturday, August 13, 2022 went home to be with the Lord.
Clara Bobo Martin was born April 9, 1931 and reared in the home of Polly Bobo until the joining in holy matrimony to the late Marvin Eugene Martin. She was educated in the public schools of Abbeville County. She received Christ as her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and joined the Campfield Baptist Church where she served diligently and faithfully in many capacities over many years. Clara was on the Deaconess Board, President of the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary and a member of the adult choir. She was a devoted mother within her family, the church and community.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons. Dr. Curtis E. Martin (Carolyn) of Warner Robins, GA; Johnny M. Martin (Melinda) of Sumter, SC; James A. Martin (Renee’) of Stockbridge, GA; and one daughter Dr. Karen M. Cromer of Macon, GA. She was the grandmother to eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, but leaves behind other brothers, sisters, cousins and in-laws to cherish her memories along with her adopted Godchildren – Charles, Mary, Charles Jr., Kimberly and the late Keele Goodwin.
