Eleanor Juanita Walton

April 17, 2021

Mrs. Eleanor Juanita Walton, of Abbeville, South Carolina passed on Saturday April 17, 2021.

Born June 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ellen Christine Chalmers and the late Elijah Crawford.  She was educated in the Abbeville County School System and worked as a teacher’s assistant for School District 60 for over 30 years.

Juanita had the greatest love for all the children; it didn’t matter who.  She also had a great love for people from all walks of life; the greatest love for all the brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.  She always said I love everybody, but she was told it was impossible.  She tried to always maintain honesty and a truthful attitude with all whom she came in contact with.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family whom she loved very much.

Juanita is survived by two sons, Vernon (Judy) Walton of Havre de Grace, MD and Charlie (Patricia) Walton of Simpsonville, SC;  grandchildren, Schanen Walton, Schanti Walton, Charlie Walton Jr., Cameron Walton, Schamal Pringle and Fallon Nelson; one loving and devoted sister, Mary (James) Johnson and one brother, Frankie (Donna) Milford; two sister in laws, Edith Jones and Aloni Walton; adopted son, James (Doris) Hadden, nieces, nephews, godchildren and other family members and friends.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Walton; two brothers, William Chalmers and Nathaniel Chalmers; sister in laws, Diana Donnell and Florie Smith; adopted daughter, Amelia Hanna.
