Eva Killingsworth Obituary

Eva Mae Riley Killingsworth, daughter of the late William Anthony Riley, Sr. and Eva Ware Riley. Was born May 9th, 1945, and she departed this life on May 8th, 2023 at Hospice House of the Piedmont, Greenwood, SC. She was a 1965 graduate of J.S. Wright High School. She obtained a Degree in Early Childhood Education. At an early age she joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, she later followed her husband Alvin to his church at Campfield Baptist Church. Eva Mae was a member of "Women Making A Difference” Women Club. Eva Mae retired from Gleamns Head Start after 40 plus years.

Eva Mae enjoyed being around family, and especially loved going on trips, shopping, and decorating. Eva Mae loved decorating her house for every holiday, and was known for her Christmas decorations that lit up Abbeville, where many came from a far just to see her house. She had a heart pure of gold, and opened her house up to many family and friends that reared up in her home.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband of 53 years, Alvin Killingsworth of the home; one son, Alvin (Michelle) O'Neal Killingsworth of Greenville, SC; three daughters, Alverna Enwright of Columbia, SC, Kelly Killingsworth of Abbeville, SC, Lori Dawson of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, James Riley, David (Patricia) Riley all of Abbeville, SC; three sisters, Mattie Hill of St. Albany, NY, Daisy Milon of Abbeville, SC, Diane (James) Troy of Las Vegas, NV; two brother in-laws, Claude Killingsworth of Greenwood, SC, John (Martha) Killingsworth of Upatoi, GA; six sister in-laws,  Patricia Riley, Annie Lee Terry of Abbeville, SC, Linda Killingsworth, Sylvia Killingsworth of Greenwood, SC, Barbara Killingsworth of Calhoun Falls, SC, Martha (John) Killingsworth of Upatoi, GA; two devoted grand-daughter's reared in the home, Kellisha Killingsworth and Ava Agnew; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva Riley; two brothers, William “June” Riley, Jr., Robert Riley; one sister, Louise Holmes; eight brother in-laws, Leon Hill, George Milon, Johnny Holmes, Albert “Lank” Killingsworth, Reverend Willie Killingsworth, Cleave Killingsworth, James Terry, James “Slick” Posey; three sister in-laws, Annie Riley, Martha Killingsworth, and Elease Posey.
