Throughout the years Frank has been affectionately known as Dad, Papa, Frank, Uncle Frank, Uncle Son, Son, and at Richard Campbell Nursing Home the inside joke was him being called “Walter”. Frank was drafted into the United States Army at 18 years old, and served for some years until he was medically discharged when he was injured. By trade he was a Farmer and Sharecropper. He completed school through the 6th grade.

Frank was a very active member of Mt. Zion AME Church. Frank served on the Trustee board, member of the All Male Choir, and was a faithful member of Sunday School. He was a faithful member until he could no longer attend church service in person, but continued to be a faithful tithing member. Frank was a loving, kind, compassionate, hardworking, funny person that passionately loved his life, family and friends. He was a devoted husband although widowed at death, father, father-in-law, brother,
