Gerald Brownlee, 59, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Abbeville Area Medical Center. Gerald was born on March 29, 1963, in Queens, New York to the late Early and Janie Brown Brownlee. Gerald attended the public schools of New York and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Bronx, New York. He moved to Abbeville, South Carolina and was employed as a cook with Old Country Buffet.
Gerald leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Felicia Isbell Brownlee, of Columbia, South Carolina; one son, Bryant Isbell, of Columbia, South Carolina; three daughters, Lekeshia Patterson, of
Colorado Springs, Colorado; Shona Isbell and Latarshia Patterson, both of Columbia, South Carolina; five brothers, Early Brownlee, Jr. of Abbeville, South Carolina; Michael (Tammy) Brownlee of Greenwood, South Carolina; Anthony Brownlee, Sr. of Bronx, NY; Dwight (Lisa) Brownlee of Pendleton, South Carolina; Perry Hill, Jr. of Abbeville, South Carolina; three sisters, Yvonne (Ronald) Brownlee McBurney of Bronx, NY; Janet (Samuel) Brownlee Jackson, of the home; Bethany Black of Abbeville, South Carolina; eighteen grandchildren; a special friend of the family, Raheem Tatum; a host of other family members and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Early and Janie Brown Brownlee; two sisters, Sally Brownlee, and Stella Cobb; four brothers, James Paul, James, Eugene, and Ernest Brownlee; two nephews, Anthony Brownlee, Jr., and Shabar Anderson.
