James Henry Lee

Mr. James Henry Lee, 65, transitioned into his eternal home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at his home. He was born in Abbeville, SC on March 26, 1961 to the late Lucious and Julia Mae Johnson Lee, Sr.

James joined Saint Mary AME Church at an early age, where he was a member until he passed. James is a graduate of Abbeville High School Class of 1980. After graduation, he worked in textile for several years until he retired. He earned the nickname “Little Seaboard” because of his love for plumbing like his father.

James leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, John Earl Lee, Mark (Karen) Anthony Lee both of Abbeville, SC; four sisters, Willie (James Allen) Sue Johnson, Fannie Mae Collier both of Abbeville, SC, Dorothy (Donald L.) Louise Henderson of St. Louis, MO, Edna (Jobie, Jr.) Deloise Richardson of Anderson, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. His laughter, jokes, and fun times truly will be missed. Even now as God has you on his keeping, we will always keep you in our hearts.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious and Julia Mae Lee; one brother, Lucious Lee, Jr.; three sisters, Juanita Lomax, Lottie Jean Lee, Baby Girl Lee; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Lee; two brothers-in-law, Willie Samuel Collier, Sr., Stanley Lomax; three nieces, Sabrina Sprowl, Sonja Johnson, and Janna G. Lee.
