John Christopher Brown

With hearts filled with love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the life and legacy of John Christopher Brown, affectionately known to many as "Brody," who peacefully departed this earthly life on June 25, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on November 16, 1962, in Abbeville, South Carolina, John was the beloved son of John C. Brown and Rosa Mae Dawson Brown.

John was a proud graduate of Abbeville High School's Class of 1982 and a dedicated worker who spent most of his career at Prysmian before later working at Flexible Technologies. He was known throughout the community for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A devoted Raiders fan, John enjoyed spending his free time fishing, hunting, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. He had a remarkable sense of humor and was a natural jokester who could brighten any room with his laughter and quick wit. Above all, John cherished his family and took great pride in the love and bonds they shared. His presence, kindness, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

John leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Polly Brown; two sons, Christopher “Brody” Brown, Quintavia “Brodie” Brown; one daughter, Quintella Brown; one bonus daughter, Andreyah “Duck” Sanders; one brother, Jonathan Brown; eight sisters, Annie Elmore, Darlene Brown, Amy (Michael) Glover, Tammy Martin, Lolisa (James) Hill, Arlene (Joseph) Burton, Karlene (Andrew) Gray, Sirena (Darren) Morton; five grandchildren, Cashton “Stunna” Vance, Micah “John Michael” Wardlaw, Serenity Brown, Cameron Brown, Khyrie Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Dominick Brown; a host of family members and friends.
