Juanita (Martin) Napoleon

Mrs. Juanita (Martin) Napoleon entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born in Calhoun Falls, SC on October 17, 1941 to the parentage of the late Leonard and Bertha (Martin) Brooks.

Mrs. Juanita retired from Abbeville County Memorial Hospital after many years of faithful and dedicated service as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She took great pride in caring for others and touched many lives through her compassion, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Mrs. Juanita was the beloved wife of the late Lewis Napoleon, with whom she shared 62 years of love, faith, and devotion. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment and enduring love.

A faithful and devoted member of St. Mary AME Church, Mrs. Juanita loved the Lord and was committed to serving her church family. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found great joy in reading God's Holy Word, worshipping, and listening to gospel music.

Mrs. Juanita treasured her family above all else. She delighted in spending time with those she loved and found joy in life's simple blessings. She had a special love for flowers and quilting, and her warm smile, kind heart, and gentle presence brought comfort to everyone who knew her.

Mrs. Juanita leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and selfless service. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love and the precious memories she leaves behind will forever remain in our hearts.

Mrs. Juanita leaves to cherish her precious memories three sons, Stephen Napoleon. Bobby (Cynthia) Napoleon both of Abbeville, SC, Lewis (Tonia) R. Napoleon of Detroit, MI; four daughters, Cheryl Hill of Abbeville, SC, Annie (Carl) Rapley of Greenville, SC, Denise (James) Hill, Nicole Morton both of Greenwood, SC; two step sons, Johnny Ray Cade of Atlanta, GA, Travis Power of Abbeville,SC; one sister, Dr. Rose Marie Brooks of Detroit, MI; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Hazzard, Sylvia Morton both of Atlanta. GA; one aunt, Emily Hudson of Litchfield, MI; one aunt-in-law, Chessie Oliver of Abbeville, SC;  19 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; two great-great Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, David Brooks; one sister, Carran Brooks; one granddaughter, Candace Rapley; one sister-in-law, Janice Clinkscale; and one brother-in-law, Al Brown.
