Lawanda Nicole Hill, affectionately known as “Nique,” 49, transitioned into her eternal home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. She was born in Abbeville, SC on January 3, 1977, to Terry Lewis and Estelle Power Hill.
Lawanda was a firm believer in God. She loved her daughter and granddaughter, “Toot” with all her heart. Lawanda found joy in dancing and listening to music. Those moments reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School Class of 1995. Lawanda worked at Electrolux as a line operator for the last six years of her life. She was truly like a shining star. She left a mark everywhere she went, and her spark will forever be missed.
Lawanda is survived by her lifetime companion of 40 years, Kenno Williams; her parents; one daughter, Kenoshia (Joshua) Glaze of Abbeville, SC; two God-daughters, Kendra Thomas of Greer, SC, Tawanna Power of Abbeville, SC; one sister, Adriane Hill of Abbeville, SC; three sisters-in-love, Sann Lomax, Veronica Enwright, Ashley Rayford all of Abbeville, SC; one grandchild, Ja’Myla “Toot” Glaze; one God-grandchild, Lonnell Thomas; two special uncles, Charles Power, Mack Thomas; one God-mother, Linda Baker; two special aunts, Roberta Norman, Brenda Hunter; two grandmothers, Louise McCuller, Sarah Power; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Lawanda is preceded in death by her grandparents, Virginia Power, Ester Belcher, Mary Power, Jessie Hill, Joe Allen Power; and one special uncle, Joseph “Truly” Power.
