Mother Louise B. Haskell was born on January 25, 1944 in McCormick County to the late Azilee Brown. God called her into eternal rest on August 20, 2022.
Our hearts are saddened at the homegoing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. We look to God with grateful hearts for the love and light she shared with us through her life.
She was a faithful member of St. Paul Church of God Holiness. She was a church mother, usher, served on the parsonage aid committee, vacation bible school and in her spare time she had a love for gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband the late Melvin Haskell, Sr., four sons, Elijah, Larry, Marvin, Sr., and Melvin Jr.; four siblings, Deacon Bobby Brown, Willie R., Gussie Haddon and Margaret Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Mary Haskelll of Abbeville, SC and Barbara Haskell of Greenwood, SC; one son, Todd (Lisa) Haskell of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Eunice (Walter) Campbell of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, James Brown of Abbeville, SC; one special sister-in-law, mother Hattie Brown of Abbeville, SC; and a special friend, Alice Pursley of Abbeville, SC . She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends who she loved dearly.
Mother Haskell favorite expression was, “Tell your business to God”. The family is at the home.
