Sister Maeette Johnson Collier, 102, passed on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Traditions Rehabilitation Center in Lithonia, Georgia. A native of Abbeville, SC, Maeette was born on March 24, 1917 to the late Jessie Johnson, Sr. and Edna Linton Johnson.
Sister Maeette was married to the late Clifton Leo Collier and was predeceased by one son, Tinsley Leo Collier. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Adams and Willie Edna Johnson; and her brothers, Jessie “Bosie” Johnson, Jr. and Bill Johnson.
Sister Maeette Collier dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1985 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. When she later moved to Lithonia, GA from Abbeville, she began serving at the Snapfinger Congregation faithfully until her death.
Sister Maeette is survived by two sons, Ceasar Michael Johnson of San Bernardino, CA and Barry R. (Juanita) Collier of Lithonia, GA; three granddaughters, Valerie Middleton of McCormick, SC, Jamila Wilkes of Snellville, GA and Rashida Collier of Lithonia, GA. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
