Michael Anthony Grant departed this life on August 22, 2025 at the Hospice House & Palliative Care of the Piedmont surrounded by compassionate care and love. Born on February 2nd, 1967 in Atlanta, GA, Michael was the son of James and Dorothy Grant. He grew up in Abbeville SC and was known for his impeccable dress, quick wit, kindness, love for family, and sense of humor.
He graduated from Abbeville High School in 1986, and worked at The Durst Company in Greenwood SC. He had a love for listening to all genres of music, basketball, and his ability to make everyone laugh.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, James and Dorothy Grant; two sisters, Felicia Dawson of Charlotte, NC, Rhonda (Sam) House of Marietta, GA; one brother, Larry (Effie) Pilot of Abbeville, SC; three nephews, Reggie Pilot, Keitravis (Tanesha)Squire, and Xavier House all of Atlanta, GA; six aunts, Rev. Jennifer (Johnny) Brown, Barbara Grant, Jackie (Varry) Harper, Diane Hogan, Janie (James) Riles, Thelma Woods; two uncles, Ulysses and Thomas Grant; special cousins, Terrence Grant, Rio Grant, Derrick Riles; and a host of cousins, family and friends
who he dearly loved and who loved him. He was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and grandparents who welcomed him into eternal rest.
