Pearlie Mae Wells

Pearlie Foster Wells was born on August 30, 1936, in Lowndesville, South Carolina, to the late Isaac Foster Sr. and Icie Foster. She was the fourth of thirteen children.

Pearlie accepted Christ at an early age and was of the Methodist faith. After relocating to Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, she united with Mt. Olive Church of God Holiness, where she faithfully worshipped. Throughout her working years, Pearlie was employed as a home health aide with the Abbeville County Health Department and at Burlington Industries. She later retired from the Town of Calhoun Falls, where she faithfully served as the Water Clerk.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Wells; parents, Isaac Foster Sr. and Icie Foster; her sisters, Allene Wilson, Mary Tinch, Ruth Walker, Hossie Belcher, Annie Foster, and Essie Foster; and her brothers, Isaac Foster Jr., James Foster, Joseph Foster, William “Bob” Foster, and Donald Chrisley Foster.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories two daughters, Ursula Jackson (Barry Wright) and Leslie (Albert) Norman; six grandchildren, Miaka (Burt) Reynolds, Jasimine Jackson, Kendra Norman, Brittany Wells, Alvin Wells, and Lewis Wells; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Judith (Whitt) Crawford; brothers-in-law, Bennie (Peggie) Wells and Milton Wells; sisters-in-law, Lula Crite, Eldora Foster, Elizabeth Foster, Katherine Foster, and Deborah Foster; special friend Izola Mills; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
