Sadie Mae (Hunter) Starks

Sadie Mae (Hunter) Starks, 87, of 760 Gassoway Farm Road, Abbeville, SC, entered into eternal on Monday, June 2, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Allen and Sadie Hunter.

Sadie attended the public schools in Abbeville, SC. Before her health declined, she was a faithful member of Cypress Chapel AME Church. Isabelle worked for many years in Textile Manufaturing.

Sadie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Henry Starks; her parents; two sons, Willie Hunter, William Starks; two brothers, Eugene Hunter, George Scott; three sisters, Mary Stuart, Naomi Stone, and Willie Clinkscale.

Sadie leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Robert (Gwen) Starks of Abbeville, SC, Rickey (Annie) Starks of Hartwell, GA; three daughters, Gloria (John) Geer, Belinda Crawford both of Abbeville, SC, Katherine Geer of Laurens, SC; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to mourn her passing.
