Sarah Louise Elmore

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, now laid up for me is a crown of righteousness, which the Lord will reward me with on that great day....”

Ms. Sarah Louise Elmore, 78, of 315 Lafayette Street, Calhoun Falls, SC., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Condor Health in Anderson, SC, surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was bon on March 7th, 1945 to the late William and Louise Reed Elmore in Abbeville County. She was a life-long member of Mt. Olive Church of God Holiness, where she worked faithfully in many capacities. She was a very hard worker and always was there to lend a helping hand to anyone she came in contact with. Sarah retired from Mohawk Industries Rocky River Plant after 42 years of dedicated employment. She loved her family and loved to cook and feed anyone that stopped by. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars #279 Brownlee Chapter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Maxine Elmore - Lee of Calhoun Falls; three grandson's, Vasenti Turman, Desi Turmer both of Calhan Falls, and Quintez Turman of Greenwood, SC; four great grands, Davin, Hezikiah, Victoria, and Ryan Turman; four siblings, Ulysee Elmore, Iagle Elmore, and Shannon Elmore all of Calhoun Falls, and Amy Lyda of North Cardina; two God Children, Ulysee Elmore II and April Lee (Jimmy) Duncan; two God Grandchildren, Aniya Morton and Jeremiah Boggs; two nieces reared in the home Loletha Glover, and Pauline Boggs; many nieces and nephews that she had a strong hand in raising, with a host of loving family members that mourn her passing.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings, Sallie Lee, Betty Elmore Lewis, and William H. Elmore.
