Theodore Roosevelt Hill, 65, gained his wings to go be with the Lord on December 26, 2023, at his daughters home in Calhoun Falls, SC.
“Teddy,” as most that knew him, was born on April 21, 1958 to Bobby Turner and the late Sallie Mae McBride Patterson.
Teddy left Abbeville on his life’s journey, starting out in the United States Army from 1977 through 1979. After being honorably relieved of his duties in the Army, he came home to serve Abbeville and Calhoun Falls Police Departments. Years later, Teddy found him a new passion in concrete laying where he continued for over 25 years, when he retired due to health issues in Atlanta, GA.
Teddy was a loving and caring, but funny father. His love was extended to everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and those Pittsburgh Steelers, no matter what.
Teddy leaves to cherish his fond memories two loving children, Antwan Burton, Sr. of McCormick, SC, Lamekia Cade of Calhoun Falls, SC; two step-children, Jessica Fowler and Renodo Johnson both of Atlanta, GA; his father, Bobby (Gloria) Turner of Abbeville, SC; six sisters, Louella Patterson (Randoph Jackson) of Honea Path, SC, Shardi Martin, Brenda Hawes, Melissa Drennon, Michelle Parks all of Greenwood, SC, and Christine Willingham of Anderson, SC.
Teddy also leaves his legacy through his seven grandchildren, TiAndre Simmons, Mariah Nance, A’Miracal Burton, Da’Vion Felder, Antwan Burton, Jr., and Ashton Burton.
Teddy was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Patrice F. Hill; his dear mother, Sallie Mae McBride Patterson, his only brother, Calvin Hill; and one sister, Bridgette Patterson.
