Thomas “Cleveland Gray” Pinckney, 71, of 510 Shady Grove Church Road, Abbeville, SC, passed at Hospice of the Foothills in Forest City, NC.
Born in Abbeville County on March 29, 1952. He was the son of the late Annie O. Gray. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, the late Pinckney and Mary Frances Gray.
He graduated from Abbeville High School. He was a member of Shady Grove AME Church. He retired from Grady Foundry.
“Cleve” was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
He is survived by his son, Cleveland (Stephanie) Terrelle Pinckney of Anderson, SC; two granddaughters, Amiyah Pinckney of Charleston, SC, Maddie Miller of Iva, SC; two bonus grandsons of Anderson, SC; a God daughter, LaSherrie (Tommie) Johnson; two God grandsons, one God granddaughter; two God great grandchildren; a sister, Sheila Gray-Sanders of Abbeville, SC; a brother, Horace F. Gray of Abbeville, SC; also reared in the grandparents home, Rhonda (Claude) Jackson, Andrew (Karlene) Gray, Ronald Harshaw; a host of other family members and friends.
