Mrs. Wilma Virginia Wooden-Martin, 78, of 83 Thomson Circle, passed away on May 24th at Abbeville Nursing Home. Wilma was born in Abbeville, SC on January 24th, 1945 to the late Carrie Bell London and Willie Wooden.
Wilma attended the public school system in Abbeville, SC. She worked in the Textile Industry for a period of time, and a Homemaker by trade.
Wilma leaves to cherish her memories one son, Tony Martin of Miami Florida; three daughters, Jacqueline (late Michael) Cobb, Cathy (Frank) Jackson of Abbeville, SC, Belinda (late Rudolph) Rollinson of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Sarah (late Benny) Jordan, Emma (Jessie) Lyons of Abbeville, SC, Mariah (James) Slappy of Anderson, SC; 14 grandchildren, Tiongi, Trellis, Maurice, Demario, Nicole, DeMichael, Tamara, Lakeshia, Antonio, Geraldine, Eugene, DeJario, Toccara, Tony; 12+ great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends that will mourn her passing.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Martin; parents, Carrie Bell London and Willie Wooden; one brother, Johnny Wharton; and one sister, Dorothy Hawthorne.
